President, Vice President Condole Loss of Lives in Markapuram Bus Tragedy in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi, Mar 26 (TNT): President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday condoled the loss of lives in the tragic bus accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Markapuram district and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

In a ghastly road accident, at least 13 passengers were burnt alive and 22 others injured, three of them critically, when a private travel bus caught fire after colliding with a tipper truck near Rayavaram village in Markapuram district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday morning.

In a post on X, the President said, “Deeply saddened to learn about the tragic bus accident in Markapuram district. I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved families. My thoughts and prayers are with them. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured.”

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan also expressed grief over the incident, terming it deeply distressing.

In his message on X, he said, “My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured and strength to all affected by this tragedy.”
