President Droupadi Murmu to Witness Intl Fleet Review at Visakhapatnam on February 18

Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 16 (TNT): President Droupadi Murmu, who will arrive in the city on a two-day visit on Tuesday evening, is scheduled to witness the International Fleet Review 2026 (IFR-2026) at Visakhapatnam on February 18.

According to the official schedule, the President will arrive at INS Dega at 4:40 PM on Tuesday. She will be received by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, and senior Naval officials.

Following her arrival, the President will proceed to the Naval Base to participate in a banquet dinner.

On February 18, President Murmu will take part in the International Fleet Review 2026 and address the gathering.

After the programme, she will return to the Naval Base and later depart for New Delhi in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, will also visit Visakhapatnam on February 18 to participate in the International Fleet Review.

According to the schedule, the Chief Minister will arrive at INS Dega in the morning from Vijayawada. He will then proceed to the Naval Jetty to formally receive President Droupadi Murmu and participate in the IFR proceedings.

After the event, the Chief Minister will depart from INS Dega and return to Undavalli.

Ahead of the naval displays, Visakhapatnam has been placed under a comprehensive security blanket, with 64 drones and over 7,000 police personnel deployed to maintain strict vigil across the city.

Restrictions on airspace and maritime activities came into effect from February 15 and will remain in force until February 19, as part of heightened security arrangements for the naval events.
