New Delhi, Mar 25 (TNT):The Department of Pharmaceuticals, in association with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), will host the 9th PharmaMed 2026 conference on March 27 in New Delhi to deliberate on the future of India’s pharmaceutical sector.
The one-day event will bring together policymakers, regulators and industry leaders to discuss key priorities such as quality assurance, regulatory harmonisation, innovation and equitable access to medicines.
The conference will be held under the theme “Healthcare Equity: Reaching Every Citizen of Viksit Bharat,” focusing on India’s transition from a volume-driven to a value-driven global pharmaceutical hub.
Key sessions will cover areas including innovation and R&D, biologics and advanced therapies, regulatory compliance and global standards, supply chain resilience, counterfeit drug prevention, and improving last-mile access to medicines through digital health and e-pharmacy frameworks.
The event will feature participation from senior officials including NITI Aayog Member Dr Vinod K Paul, Department of Pharmaceuticals Joint Secretary Satyaprakash T L, DCGI Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, and representatives from global regulators such as the US FDA.
Industry stakeholders from organisations such as BIRAC, NIPER, ICMR, Serum Institute of India, Cipla, Mankind Pharma, Tata 1mg and Apollo Pharmacy are also expected to participate.
The conference aims to strengthen industry–government collaboration, enhance regulatory frameworks and promote innovation to support India’s goal of becoming a global leader in pharmaceuticals in line with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
