Amaravati, Feb 23 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to adopt a performance-based evaluation system for government employees and issue monthly appreciation letters to those showing outstanding work.
Reviewing various departments from the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS), Naidu said commendations should also be recorded in employees’ service records.
He stressed motivating underperformers while encouraging efficient staff to enhance accountability and competitiveness.
Naidu directed that sanitation be strictly maintained in all hospitals and that there should be no shortage of doctors. Health officials were asked to coordinate with district collectors to fill vacancies.
He also called for improved facilities in temples.
Stating that the Revenue Department needs a “fresh look,” the Chief Minister emphasized zero corruption and warned of strict action against erring officials.
He said land-related services would be automated and the ongoing re-survey should resolve disputes permanently.
He also ordered regular testing of drinking water samples and deployment of mobile labs where necessary, besides directing road accident audits to strengthen preventive measures.
The Chief Minister said greater public awareness must be created about technology-driven government services and asked officials to prepare an action plan for implementing MoUs signed at the recent AI-Impact Summit in New Delhi.
Senior officials from key departments attended the review meeting.
