Pattu Vastrams presented to Kukkuteswara Swamy in Kakinada on behalf of DY CM  Pawan Kalyan

Kakinada, Feb 13 (TNT) : Sacred Pattu Vastrams were presented to Sri Raja Rajeswari, Uma Kukkuteswara Swamy, the presiding deity of the revered Pada Gaya Temple at Pithapuram here on Friday, on behalf of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

The offering was made in connection with the deity’s Kalyana Mahotsavam.

A five-member Jana Sena Party committee carried out the ritual amid chanting of Vedic hymns by temple priests.

The delegation was led by Kakinada district Jana Sena Party president and DCCB chairman Tummala Ramaswamy Babu, and included former MLA Pendem Dorababu, Oduri Kishore, and town in-charge Dr. Chikkala Varalakshmi Ramanarao.

The committee members also formally inaugurated the week-long Maha Shivaratri festival programmes at the temple.

Temple Executive Officer Katnam Jaganmohan, along with Mr. Ramaswamy Babu, said that elaborate arrangements had been made for the convenience of devotees.

As part of the preparations, the temple koneru (sacred tank) was thoroughly cleaned and filled with water.

Special facilities have been arranged for women devotees, and steps have been taken to ensure smooth darshan for general devotees without inconvenience.

The organisers clarified that during the festival, VIP protocol darshans would be restricted strictly to the time slots fixed by the government, while priority would be given to ordinary devotees for darshan of the deity.
