PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026 to lead AI-Driven Nation Building for Bharat

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (TNT): PAN-IIT Alumni India (PANIIT) will play a pivotal role in driving India’s artificial intelligence-led transformation by supporting the India–AI Impact Summit 2026, a flagship global event to be hosted by the Government of India under the IndiaAI Mission, announced Prabhat Kumar, Chairman, PANIIT.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Prabhat Kumar said the India–AI Impact Summit, scheduled for February 2026, will be one of the world’s largest gatherings focused on artificial intelligence, bringing together global leaders from government, industry, and academia.

He also announced that PANIIT will power Bharat Innovates, an international innovation showcase to be held in Nice, initiated by the Government of India to highlight India’s innovation, startup, deep-tech, and technology leadership to European stakeholders.

Prabhat further revealed that the PAN-IIT Hyderabad Summit 2026, a national leadership and innovation forum dedicated to AI-led transformation and nation-building, will be held here on March 8.

This will be the first-ever PAN-IIT national conference hosted in Hyderabad. A half-day pre-conference is scheduled on 7 March 2026 at IIT Hyderabad.

More than 600 delegates from government, industry, academia, startups, PSUs, and the global IIT alumni network are expected to participate. Representing all 23 IITs, the summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, and technologists, he said.

In a significant development, Prabhat announced that IIT Hyderabad has agreed to allot 680 sq ft of space on its campus for the PAN-IIT local chapter office, strengthening collaboration between PAN-IIT and Hyderabad’s innovation ecosystem.

The summit will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies across critical sectors such as pharma and healthcare, defence and aerospace, infrastructure and urban development, and energy and telecommunications, he said the deliberations will explore technology-driven governance, public-sector innovation, sustainable infrastructure, energy transition, and scalable solutions for national impact.

“India stands at a crucial juncture where technology, policy, and societal aspirations must converge for inclusive and sustainable growth,” Prabhat said, adding that the Hyderabad Summit aims to shape responsible, AI-led solutions aligned with India’s long-term national priorities.

PAN-IIT Alumni India, founded in 2002 and registered in 2006, represents a global network of over five lakh IIT alumni, fostering leadership, innovation, mentorship, and cross-sector collaboration.
