Hyderabad, Mar 17 (TNT): The NTR Memorial Trust honoured GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad, with a Certificate of Appreciation on Tuesday in recognition of its contributions and continued support to the Trust’s initiatives.
The award was presented by Nara Bhuvaneswari, Managing Trustee of the Trust, to D.V.V.S.R. Varma, Resident Director, GITAM Hyderabad.
The citation highlighted the institution’s commitment towards social causes, noting that its efforts have contributed to improving the lives of the underprivileged and inspiring the community.
Over the past four years, GITAM has been organising voluntary blood donation drives, promoting awareness on the importance of blood donation and encouraging a spirit of service among students. The initiative has been widely appreciated for its role in saving lives and fostering social responsibility.
The university leadership and faculty appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing community service programmes.
