Hyderabad, Feb 26 (TNT): A nationalist discussion forum on Thursday demanded that the Telangana government take immediate steps to identify, arrest and deport illegal Rohingya and Bangladesh infiltrators and protect traditional caste-based occupations in Bhagyanagar.
The demand was raised at a discussion organised by Ganesh Sena Jago Hindu nationalists at the Somajiguda Press Club here.
More than 40 representatives from Hindu organisations, journalists and intellectuals from across Telangana participated in the meeting.
Participants expressed concern over attacks on temples and emphasised the need to strengthen unity and coordination among Hindu organisations.
The meeting resolved to formulate a joint action plan and promote hereditary occupations by supporting traditional business communities.
It was also proposed to develop temples as centres for cultural and economic activities.
The forum appealed to citizens of the twin cities to support traditional occupations by purchasing their daily requirements from such communities to help preserve hereditary vocations.
The meeting further urged the State government to take strict action against those involved in temple attacks and initiate a detailed investigation into missing girls cases in Telangana and release a White Paper.
The programme was coordinated by Dr Ravinutala Shashidhar under the chairmanship of Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi president G Raghava Reddy, along with advisors and members of the organisation.
