
Kakinada, Feb 17 (TNT): Communist Party of India (CPI) National secretariat member K. Ramakrishna on Tuesday alleged that the BJP Government at the Center was serving the interests of the Multinational companies and its policies are affecting the agriculture sector the most .
Speaking to media persons on the second day of the CPI state committee executive meeting here, Ramakrishna alleged that the government permitted the agricultural products imports from America without import duty and there by adversely affecting the agricultural products of our farmers .`American president Trump making our country’s decisions and Modi keeping silent without condemning is giving rise to suspicion. Trump has stepped up criticism against Modi especially after Epstein files that rocked the world came into public but Modi was keeping silent.
The Central Budget introduced with an outlay of Rs.53 lakh 40 thousand Crores of which Rs.14 lakh crores was being paid towards interest .It showed that the country was riddled with heavy debts ‘ he added.
Ramakrishna has criticized the Chief Minister Chandrababu for privatizing the medical and health services that are vital for the poorer sections and demanded dropping of the privatization of medical colleges under the pretext of PPP policy .
CPI state secretary G Esweraiah has blamed the state government for wasting valuable time on politicizing the Laddu issue instead of concentrating on people’s problems and developmental activities. If report received confirming Laddu was adulterated, take action against the culprits responsible for looting Crores of public money, he added. Alleging that irrigation sector was subjected to gross negligence, he said, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu thirty years ago commenced the construction of Rs.4,000 Cr Velugodu project but even today it remained incomplete. Alleging several irrigation projects like Velugodu remained incomplete, Esweraiah said and demanded their completion according priority.
Pointing out that government was claiming that the state had received investments to the tune of Rs.80 lakh Crores through four Summits, he demanded to make a public statement how far they were implemented.
CPI National secretariat members Akkineni Vanaja, Muppalla Nageswerarao, Thatipaka Madhu, Ravula Venkaiah, district secretary K Bodakonda, Joint secretary Thokala Prasad were among those attended.
