MAHASIVARATRI  CELEBRATIONS TOUCHES SKY AT TTD-run KAPILESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE IN TIRUPATI

Tirupati, Feb 15 (TNT): As part of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams at TTD-run Kapileswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati, the Mahasivaratri celebrations commenced in a grand manner on Sunday.

In view of the heavy influx of devotees, special queue lines, temporary shelters, and parking facilities were being arranged by TTD.

Sarva Darshan of the presiding deity of Kapileswara began at 6 AM.

All the roads led to Kapilatheertham as a large number of devotees had darshan of Sri Kapileswara Swamy and Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru since morning.

The Bhogi Teru procession was conducted ceremoniously from 7 AM to 9AM as part of the Brahmotsavams.

The chariot procession was taken through the temple streets amidst devotional bhajans, kolatams by bhajana mandalis, and traditional mangala vaidyams, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere.

Later, between 11 AM to 12Noon, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed by the temple priests to Sri Somaskanda Murthy and Sri Kamakshi Devi.

The deities were rendered sacred Abhishekam with milk, curd, honey, fruit juices, and sandal paste, followed by various ritualistic offerings.

As part of the Brahmotsavams, the celestial Kalyanotsavam of Sri Kapileswara Swamy with Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru will be performed on Monday, the day following Mahasivaratri on February 16.

The Arjitha Seva will be conducted from 6 PM to 7.30 PM. Married couples can participate by purchasing a ticket on the spot by paying Rs. 500.

Laddu prasadam will be presented to the participating couples.

Temple Superintendent Chandrasekhar and a large number of devotees participated in the festivities.
