Hyderabad, Apr 6 (TNT): Telangana Jagruti President and former BRS MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday visited ailing former Osmania University professor Mohammad Ansari at a rehabilitation centre in Banjara Hills and enquired about his health condition.
Expressing concern, she said that despite retiring in 2023, Ansari has not received his retirement benefits, forcing his family to depend on crowdfunding for medical expenses. She alleged that delays in pension dues are affecting several retired employees across the state.
Kavitha said nearly 143 professors are still awaiting their retirement benefits and termed the situation a reflection of administrative neglect.
She demanded that the government immediately release all pending dues and extend financial support to affected individuals.
The Telangana Jagruti leader reiterated that her proposed political platform would focus on social justice, representation and welfare of marginalised communities, including the Banjaras.
