Hyderabad, Apr 6 (TNT): Telangana Jagruti President and former BRS MP, Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday criticised the Congress government in Telangana for failing to provide Cabinet representation to the Banjara community and assured that her proposed new political party would prioritise their inclusion.
Kavitha made this remarks during a meeting with retired Additional DGP D.T. Naik and members of the Banjara community here as part of preparations for launching a new party later this month.
She said that during the undivided Andhra Pradesh era, the Banjara community had consistent Cabinet representation, and alleged that the current dispensation has failed to uphold that practice.
She invited intellectuals, youth and leaders from the community to contribute to shaping the new party’s policies and participate actively in the political process.
