Hyderabad, Feb 16 (TNT): The 1 EME Centre will conduct an open induction rally for the selection of raw and proven players as Sports Cadets into the Boys Sports Company (BSC) from April 6 to 12, 2026.
The rally will be held in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kayaking and Canoeing, a Defence release said here on Monday.
Eligible candidates must be between 8 and 14 years of age (born after April 6, 2012 and before April 6, 2018). Applicants should have passed at least 3rd standard from any recognized school and possess adequate knowledge of English and Hindi.
Medical fitness will be assessed by a Medical Officer from the Army Sports Institute along with a specialist from the Army Sports Medicine Centre.
Priority will be given to State, National and International-level medal winners. Candidates with any type of permanent tattoo on any part of the body are not eligible to apply.
Selected candidates will be inducted as Sports Cadets and provided free boarding and lodging, education up to 10th standard, accommodation, insurance coverage, medical facilities, and scientific coaching.
Eligible cadets will subsequently be enrolled into the Indian Army as per the Army Recruitment Rules.
