New Delhi, Mar 9 (TNT): IndiGo on Monday said it is cautiously rebuilding its scheduled flight network across the Middle East and Europe amid continuing volatility in the region.
In a statement, the airline said it has been working closely with authorities in India and destination countries to progressively restore operations.
Since resuming flights in a phased manner on March 3, IndiGo has operated more than 165 flights, carrying over 22,000 passengers to and from the Middle East over the past five days.
From March 8, the airline also reinstated its long-haul services using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft taken on wet and damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways. These aircraft are operating routes connecting India with Manchester, Amsterdam and London.
The carrier is also operating flights linking Athens with New Delhi and Mumbai using Airbus A321XLR.
According to the airline, 38 flights are scheduled to operate on March 9 between India and 12 destinations across the Middle East and Europe as part of the ongoing network restoration.
IndiGo said it will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust its operations in coordination with aviation authorities and airport partners.
