New Delhi, Mar 30 (TNT) : The Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers will organise the 9th edition of India Pharma 2026 at Federation House in the national capital on April 13 and 14.
The event is being organised in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA).
With the theme “Discover in India: Leapfrogging Life-Sciences Innovation,” the conference aims to position India as a global hub for research and innovation in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, an official release said here on Monday.
Officials said the event will serve as a platform to accelerate the sector’s transition from a volume-driven model to a value- and innovation-led global industry.
The conference will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and innovators to discuss emerging opportunities in drug discovery, complex generics and biosimilars, while also showcasing India’s manufacturing capabilities and growing research ecosystem.
India Pharma 2026 is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting the country’s pharmaceutical strength, fostering innovation and strengthening global supply chains through collaboration and policy dialogue.
The Department of Pharmaceuticals said it is supporting the sector through policy interventions, infrastructure development and industry-academia partnerships, in line with the vision of achieving self-reliance and building a developed India by 2047.
