Hyderabad, Mar 13 (TNT): The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad) will host the 25th edition of its annual R&D Showcase 2026 at its campus here on March 14–15.
The two-day event will bring together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, startups and students to explore innovations emerging from the institute’s research ecosystem, the Institute said in a release here on Friday.
The theme for this year’s showcase, “Trust in Technology: Security, Privacy, and Transparency,” focuses on the need to build reliable digital systems in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The inaugural session on March 14 will feature welcome remarks by Sandeep K. Shukla, Director of IIIT-Hyderabad, followed by an address by Deva Priyakumar U., Dean (R&D).
The programme will also include research spotlights from the Center for Security, Theory and Algorithmic Research (CSTAR) and the Cyber Manthan Centre (CMC).
The inaugural address will be delivered by Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
A keynote panel discussion titled “Building Trust in the Indian Cyber Space: Privacy, Security, Transparency in the Era of Emerging Technologies” will bring together experts from academia, government and industry.
From noon onwards, the showcase will feature demonstrations and poster presentations highlighting research across multiple domains.
The event will also host Confluence sessions, closed-door industry–research dialogues focusing on cyber security and privacy in the AI era and AI for theory and theory for AI.
The programme will further include a startup showcase featuring emerging ventures from the institute’s innovation ecosystem and an industry roundtable on “The Agentic AI Bandwagon.”
On March 15, the event will continue with Excitement of Research (ExoR), a research showcase, and a Faculty Futures Roundtable on “The Grant Reality: Hope, Hype and Honest Conversations.”
The event will conclude with a Patents Celebration at Research Street, recognising innovation and intellectual property contributions from the IIIT-Hyderabad community.
The R&D Showcase is one of IIIT-Hyderabad’s flagship events, aimed at fostering collaboration between academia, industry and government while highlighting research shaping the future of technology.
