Tirupati, Feb 17 (TNT): The Annual Brahmotsavams at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Jubilee Hills, commenced with the traditional Dhwajarohanam at 10:30 AM here on Tuesday, amidst Vedic chants and Govinda Nama Smarana.
The sacred Garuda flag was ceremoniously hoisted on the Dwajasthambam as per agama traditions, symbolically inviting the 18 Ganas and Mukoti Devatas.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Kankanabhattar P. Krishnasai.
Vahana Sevas will be held daily in the morning and evening from February 17 to 25.
The important days includes Garuda Seva on February 21, Radhotsavam on February 24, Chakra Snanam on February 25
while Pushpayagam will be performed on February 26 from 3PM onwards.
Elaborate arrangements including illumination, queue lines, drinking water, Annaprasadam and security have been made for devotees.
The Vahana Sevas will be telecast live on Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel.
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and temple officials participated in the ceremony.
