Hyderabad-based AIG Hospitals inks MoU with ICMR to Boost Digital Health Research

Hyderabad, Apr 11 (TNT): AIG Hospitals, a leading gastroenterology hospital in the country, on Saturday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the country’s premier medical research body under the Government of India, to collaborate on advancing digital health and medical research in India.
The partnership aims to combine AIG Hospitals’ clinical expertise with ICMR’s national research network to drive innovation in digital health, healthcare delivery and translational medicine.
Under the agreement, both institutions will undertake joint research studies, co-develop grant proposals and explore national and international funding opportunities.
The collaboration will also facilitate the exchange of data, expertise and scientific knowledge while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards, the Hyderabad-based hospitals said in a release here.
Chairman of AIG Hospitals, D. Nageshwar Reddy, a world renowned gastroenterologist, said the partnership reflects a shared vision of integrating clinical care, research and innovation to create scalable and impactful healthcare solutions, particularly in digital health.
Rajiv Bahl, Director General of ICMR, said such collaborations are essential to address evolving healthcare challenges and to translate research outcomes into tangible benefits for patients.
The MoU also focuses on translating research into real-world clinical applications and promoting knowledge dissemination through academic events, workshops and digital platforms.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen India’s healthcare research ecosystem and support the development of technology-driven, patient-centric solutions at scale.
