Hyderabad, Mar 11 (TNT): The newly appointed Governor of Telangana Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday expressed gratitude and commitment to serve the people of the state .
Addressing the people after assuming office , Shiva Pratap said it was a great honour to take charge as the Governor of Telangana with humility and respect.
The Governor thanked the President of India and the Prime Minister for reposing trust and entrusting the important responsibility.
Stating that it was a matter of pride and privilege to serve the people of Telangana, the Governor described the state as a symbol of rich cultural heritage, strong traditions and remarkable progress.
The Governor said the experience gained while serving as Governor of Himachal Pradesh would help in effectively discharging responsibilities in Telangana.
Telangana, the Governor said, stands as a symbol of aspirations, innovation and resilience. The determination of the people, abundant resources and strategic vision of the state provide a strong foundation for inclusive development and sustainable progress.
The Governor also congratulated Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the members of the state cabinet.
Expressing confidence that the government and people would work together to fulfil the aspirations of the citizens, the Governor said democratic values and constitutional goals would be upheld.
“As the Governor of Telangana, I am committed to promoting unity, integrity and inclusive development. I will discharge my duties with honesty, dedication and in accordance with the Constitution of India,” the Governor said.
The Governor called upon everyone to work collectively to build a prosperous Telangana and concluded the message with “Jai Telangana.”
