Eternal, OpenAI Announce Strategic Collaboration to Expand AI Infrastructure Across Commerce Platforms

New Delhi, Feb 17 (TNT): Eternal Limited on Tuesday announced a strategic collaboration with OpenAI to expand artificial intelligence capabilities across its consumer, partner and enterprise platforms.

The collaboration will span Eternal’s key businesses — Zomato, Blinkit, District, Hyperpure, Feeding India and its AI-native venture, Nugget  with a focus on deploying advanced AI tools across customer-facing applications, merchant and delivery partner platforms, and internal systems.

Under the partnership, Eternal will leverage OpenAI’s Enterprise API platform to enhance user and partner interactions, embed contextual AI assistants within partner portals, and integrate advanced coding models into its in-house orchestration system.

The company said it aims to strengthen AI as foundational infrastructure across its commerce ecosystem, deploying OpenAI models in select use cases such as AI-assisted workflows for merchants and delivery partners, next-generation search and discovery features, and automation tools designed to improve operational efficiency.

The collaboration also extends to Nugget, Eternal’s AI-native venture, where OpenAI models will support accelerated product development and iteration cycles.

Internally, Eternal is evaluating the integration of OpenAI’s latest coding models, including GPT-5.3-Codex, into Stitch, its proprietary automation and developer orchestration platform.

Stitch supports end-to-end automation across engineering and business functions.

The company expects the integration to enhance development velocity, streamline complex workflows and reduce manual processes.

The two companies will also explore launching a structured Partner Upskilling Program aimed at increasing AI adoption among Eternal’s restaurant and delivery partner ecosystem.

The initiative will focus on embedding AI-driven tools and assistants within partner applications to support compliance, operational decision-making and business performance.

“From high-leverage areas like software development to real on-ground operational impact, we are learning about evolving implementations of AI tools,” said Albinder Dhindsa, Group CEO, Eternal.

“This collaboration with OpenAI expands our ability to innovate and apply AI meaningfully across our platforms,” the CEO added.

“Eternal operates at significant scale across consumer and partner ecosystems,” said Oliver Jay, Managing Director, International, OpenAI.

“We look forward to supporting their teams in applying AI advancements across real-world systems,” Jay added.

Founded in 2008, Eternal is India’s largest new-age technology company by market capitalisation and the first tech firm to join the BSE Sensex 30-share index.

Its businesses span food delivery, quick commerce, going-out services and B2B supplies.
