Kakinada, Feb 8 (TNT) : Dr D. Thippe Naik assumed charge as the new District Revenue Officer (DRO) of Kakinada at the Collectorate on Sunday.
He succeeds J. Venkatarao, who has been transferred as the Executive Officer of the Simhachalam Temple.
Dr Naik had earlier served as DRO in Kakinada during the 2024 election period and was subsequently posted to Anantapur, where he worked for 14 months.
Expressing gratitude, he said he felt fortunate to be given the opportunity to serve the district for a second term and thanked the government for reposing confidence in him.
Soon after assuming office, section heads of the Collectorate and officers from various departments met Dr Naik in his chamber and congratulated him.
He assured that he would strive to deliver better and efficient services to the people.
