Divani Opens First Flagship Store in Hyderabad, Showcases Deccan-Inspired Couture

Hyderabad, Mar 28 (TNT): Divani on Saturday opened its first flagship store in Hyderabad, marking its entry into the city with a focus on heritage craftsmanship and contemporary couture.

Located in Banjara Hills, the store reflects a design inspired by the cultural legacy of the Deccan, blending traditional elements with modern architecture.

Designed by Habitat Architects, the space features classical arches, timber detailing and chandelier-lit interiors, creating an immersive couture environment.

The launch event was attended by several prominent personalities, including Namrata Shirodkar, Shreedevi Chowdary, philanthropist Sudha Reddy and influencer Divya Boppana, along with founder Sanya Dhir.

As part of the launch, Divani showcased a couture collection inspired by Hyderabadi nobility, featuring revived traditional silhouettes such as the khada dupatta and farshi gharara, crafted using intricate zardozi techniques.

The collection also incorporates legacy craftsmanship methods including kutki, motichoor, farisha and rangkat weaves, with each ensemble handcrafted using copper and optional silver or gold zari.

The brand also highlighted its “Zardoz Project”, an initiative aimed at preserving and promoting the traditional art of zardozi, supporting over 500 artisans across craft clusters.

Speaking on the occasion, founder Sanya Dhir said the Hyderabad flagship reflects the brand’s vision of reinterpreting heritage for contemporary audiences while preserving traditional artistry.

With this launch, Divani aims to strengthen its presence in India’s couture segment while celebrating the city’s rich cultural and sartorial heritage.
