Hyderabad, April 1 (TNT): The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), in collaboration with the Government of Telangana, will organise the 13th Asian Textile Conference (ATEXCON 2026) at HICC here on April 3.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will deliver the keynote address at the conference.
Union Ministry of Textiles Additional Secretary Rohit Kansal, Handlooms Development Commissioner Dr. M. Beena, Telangana Textiles Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu, and Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao are among those expected to participate.
The day-long conference will bring together key stakeholders from the global textile and apparel industry.
With the theme “Re-imagining the Future of Global Textiles,” the event aims to address transformative changes in the sector, including shifting global supply chains, sustainability challenges and the growing role of technology in manufacturing and design.
The conference is expected to witness participation from leading manufacturers, global brands, policymakers, investors, technology providers and entrepreneurs from across the textile ecosystem.
According to the organisers, ATEXCON will provide a platform for discussions on evolving trade dynamics, sustainable production practices and innovation-led growth, while also facilitating networking and business opportunities.
The event will feature inaugural sessions by government and industry leaders, keynote addresses, panel discussions and expert-led interactions through the day. As per the programme schedule, sessions will include morning inaugural addresses, mid-day keynote discussions, afternoon panels and a closing plenary.
A startup pitch showcase featuring 15 curated startups and a networking gala are also scheduled as part of the conference.
Organisers said the event is expected to play a key role in shaping discussions on the future of the textile industry at both national and global levels.
