Hyderabad, Mar 28 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday in the Assembly announced a CB-CID probe into alleged illegal mining activities in the state, asserting that the government is committed to uncovering the truth.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, Revanth Reddy said the inquiry will cover multiple allegations, including those related to the Sircilla sand mafia.
He said the government is prepared to investigate the role of Santosh Rao and his father Ravinder Rao in the matter.
He further stated that a probe will also examine alleged illegal granite mining linked to former BRS minister Gangula Kamalakar.
The Chief Minister said the investigation will extend to allegations involving a company associated with Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, as well as Raghava Constructions.
Revanth Reddy said orders have been issued for a comprehensive CB-CID inquiry into all the cases, adding that the truth will be brought out through the investigation.
