Hyderabad, Feb 8 (TNT) : Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K. T. Rama Rao on Sunday alleged that the fire at the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Nampally, was a deliberate act orchestrated by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to destroy evidence related to the vote-for-note case.
Addressing the media in Hanamkonda, KTR claimed the blaze was “stage-managed” when the case was nearing its final stage.
He questioned the timing of the fire, the delay in firefighting, and contradictory government statements on damage, alleging that crucial forensic and digital evidence was destroyed.
Terming the incident a threat to the criminal justice system, KTR demanded a high-level probe by central agencies and a judicial inquiry by a retired judge.
He also sought an all-party visit to the FSL and accused the state police of acting under political pressure.
“Only an independent and transparent investigation can reveal the truth,” KTR added.
