Hyderabad, Mar 17 (TNT): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana is witnessing increased activity at the grassroots level following local body elections, with several leaders and workers from rival parties joining its ranks, party leaders said on Tuesday.
Leaders from Uppal and Malkajgiri joined the BJP in the presence of state president N. Ramchander Rao at the party’s state office.
This marks the third such induction event in the last 48 hours, indicating a steady influx of members.
The party attributed the growing support to the governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and ongoing development initiatives at the national level.
Addressing party workers, Rao said the BJP continues to expand its footprint in the state under his leadership.
He also congratulated BJP national president Nitin Nabin and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on their election to the Rajya Sabha, describing it as a significant achievement for the party.
Rao criticised the Congress government in Telangana led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging inaction on certain issues in the Assembly and raising concerns over political appeasement.
He also took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, urging adherence to constitutional duties.
