Choppadandi (Karimnagar Dist), Feb 5 (TNT) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the BJP and BRS, alleging that both parties are maintaining a secret “fevicol bond” to stall Telangana’s development and weaken the Congress government.
Addressing a massive public meeting under the Praja Palana – Pragathi Bata programme here, Revanth Reddy accused the Centre of deliberately ignoring the State’s requests for key development approvals, including national project status to the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, funds for the Musi river rejuvenation project, and Metro Rail Phase-II.
The CM criticised the Narendra Modi government for not ordering a CBI probe into the Kaleshwaram project despite the State Assembly passing a resolution seeking an investigation.
He also flagged the delay in granting permission for further probe in the Formula-E case.
He challenged Union Minister Bandi Sanjay to prove BJP’s sincerity by securing a CBI probe and the arrest of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) in the Kaleshwaram issue.
The Chief Minister also questioned BJP National President Nitin Gadkari for not raising issues such as national project status to Palamuru–Rangareddy, funds for Musi river development, and Metro Rail Phase-II during his Telangana visit.
Accusing BRS of pushing the State into a debt trap, Revanth Reddy dared both BJP and BRS for an open debate on Telangana’s development under their respective regimes.
The CM reaffirmed that Congress would continue to rule the State for the next eight years.
