Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 13 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday announced that Bill Gates will visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16, and with the support of the Gates Foundation, digital health records would be created to enable personalised medicine.
Speaking in the Assemlby during the discussion the motion thanking the Governor’s address, Naidu also informed that a Population Management Policy would be introduced in the current Assembly session to effectively utilise the demographic dividend for wealth creation.
He said that the coalition government has achieved significant development and implemented several welfare initiatives during the past twenty months, fulfilling the promises made to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister elaborated on various development and welfare programmes undertaken by the government and explained how the administration overcame difficulties caused by the previous regime.
He strongly criticised the alleged misdeeds of the former government and accused certain forces of hatching conspiracies to obstruct development and welfare activities.
The Chief Minister said that for the reconstruction of the State, the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena worked together in coordination.
Immediately after coming to power, the government released seven White Papers detailing the devastation caused to the State earlier, he said.
Highlighting the P4 programme, he said it was aimed at supporting people at the lowest rung of society and described it as the best poverty eradication model in the country.
Naidu announced that a Quantum Computing Centre would be developed in Amaravati, noting that over 60,000 people have already registered for quantum skills courses.
Referring to the energy sector, he said Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra would emerge as models for green hydrogen and green ammonia production amid the growing demand for green energy.
On the health front, the Chief Minister said the Sanjeevani project would significantly improve public health services.
