Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh ), Feb 28 (UNI) : At least ten workers were killed and several others injured in a major fire broke out in firecracker manufacturing unit in Vetlapalem, Samarlakota mandal in the district on Saturday.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , who was on visit to Vizanagaram District, held a review with officials following an explosion at a firecracker manufacturing unit.
Officials briefed the CM, about the incident, including ongoing relief and rescue operations. Authorities reported that around 20 workers were present at the Fireworks unit at the time of the blast.
Expressing grief over potential casualties among the firecracker workers, the Chief Minister directed ministers and senior officials to visit the site immediately to assess the situation and provide assistance.
