Kakinada, March 1 (TNT) :The twin village of Masakapalli and Sundarampalli in K Gangavaram Mandal of Ramachandrapuram constituency have been solved of the three decade old drinking water problem with the initiative of Minister for Labour Vasamsetti Subhash.
At a function held at Masakapalli village on Sunday, Subhash laid the foundation stone for the Rs.60 lakhs protective drinking water scheme and also declared open the RO plant at Sundarampalli.
For both the schemes Coromandel international limited has provided Rs.60 lakhs from the corporate social responsibility funds.
Addressing as the chief guest, the Minister has appreciated the Coromandel international for its social responsibility.
He referred to the modern hospital run by the Coromandel International under CSR in Vakalapudi on the Kakinada city outskirts.
The Minister announced that `Doctor On wheels’ medical services would be extended soon at a cost of Rs. 2 Crores enlisting the support of Kio Motors in Ramachandrapuram constituency .
Similarly with the Cooperation of the ONGC, he said , efforts were being made to set up Rs.5 Crores Cardiology hospital in the constituency.
The aim is not even a single person should dye with heart problems and during last twenty months alone the constituency received Rs.300 Cr funds ‘ the Minister added.
Coalition parties senior leader Vasamsetti satyam while thanking the Coromandel international for the gesture , said that the drinking water scheme would prove as a Bhagiradha project for the comprehensive development of villages.
