AP: Spiritual wisdom opens the Inner Eye: Peethadhipathi Dr. Umar Alisha

Pithapuram (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 10 (TNT): Spiritual and philosophical wisdom awakens the inner eye of knowledge within a human being, said Peethadhipathi Dr. Umar Alisha.

The 3-day 98th Annual Jnana Maha Sabhas of the Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham began in a grand manner at the newly established ashram campus here on Monday.

The three-day spiritual congregation commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Umar Alisha.

Addressing the gathering, he said that Trayi Sadhana, a spiritual compass, helps individuals attain mental stability, courage, and a disciplined lifestyle, thereby leading a peaceful and meaningful life.

He emphasized that inner calm can be achieved only when the fire of agitation is cooled by the water of patience.

Dr. Umar Alisha explained that when a person becomes aware of the hidden Jnana Netra (inner eye of wisdom) within oneself, it becomes possible to experience the divine presence.

He stressed that philosophical wisdom must be received through the guidance of a Guru, as it is the Guru who transforms an ordinary human into a noble soul.

He further stated that the Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham has, for centuries, been imparting spiritual philosophy in tune with changing times, while also engaging in social service and promoting religious harmony to safeguard human values.

On the occasion, the 2026 Annual Report, publications of the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust, and the Devadaru brochure were formally released at the Sabha.

Several dignitaries, scholars, poets, and spiritual thinkers spoke on the occasion, elaborating on the five fundamental element – water, earth, fire, air, and space—which are believed to be the causes of the 84 lakh forms of existence.

They highlighted that those who receive philosophical knowledge through the Guru come to realize the eternal truth: “The Guru is the Mantra, and the Mantra itself is the Guru.”

They also described the Peetham as a sacred institution that propagates the eternal message of “Service to humanity is service to the Divine.”

As part of the celebrations, the Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust organized milk distribution centers for children, childcare and protection units, primary medical camps, and a total of 36 service centers within the ashram premises.

The discourse by children trained under the Tatvika Bala Vikas program deeply impressed the audience.

Devotional music rendered by the A. Uma troupe during the cultural evening captivated the devotees.

Thousands of followers from across the country and abroad attended the event, with free meals arranged for all participants.

On this occasion, 351 devotees received Mantra Diksha, marking a significant spiritual milestone of the Sabha.
