Amaravati , Mar 4 (TNT) : Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday lashed out at YSR Congress Party leaders over allegations related to ghee adulteration in Tirumala laddus.
Speaking in the Assembly, Lokesh said his family holds “immense respect” for the deity and has organised annadanam in Tirumala on Devansh’s birthday for the past decade.
He criticised YSRCP members for making baseless claims against his family.
Referring to the CBI chargesheet, he said adulteration in the laddus was confirmed and accused the ruling party of attempting to mislead the public.
“If YSRCP claims there was no adulteration, they should be ashamed. God will not forgive such falsehoods,” he said.
Lokesh also questioned the pricing of ghee, emphasising that allegations should be backed by evidence and common sense.
He noted that his family has never entered the temple through the main gate, highlighting their long-standing respect for the temple traditions.
