Attili (West Godavari Dist, Andhra Pradesh), Apr 6 (TNT): Marking the 271st birth anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann during World Homoeopathy Week 2026, ASR Homoeopathic Medical College (ASRHMC), in collaboration with Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust (UARDT), conducted a mega diagnostic and awareness camp at its peripheral OPD here on Monday.
The camp, themed “Silent Killers – Sweet Pills: The Solution,” witnessed a large turnout, with hundreds of people screened for lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, obesity and bone deficiencies.
College Principal Prof. Dr. Ananda Kumar Pingali said such conditions often remain undetected for years and stressed the need for awareness, early screening and scientific homoeopathic intervention.
He said the initiative aligns with efforts to make homoeopathy more accessible to the public.
A key highlight of the camp was free Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, supported by Fourrts Herbo Minerals, along with blood tests including thyroid profile, HbA1c and lipid profile.
Patients identified with deficiencies were also provided vitamin D supplements.
Medical teams, supported by students and volunteers, conducted door-to-door awareness campaigns and encouraged people to utilise facilities at the ASRHMC campus in Prathipadu, Tadepalligudem for further treatment.
The camp was led by a team of doctors and faculty members, with participation from interns, students and volunteers.
Organisers said a final mega screening drive will be held on April 7 at the ASRHMC campus.
