AP: ESI Hospital in Visakhpatnam to Be Ready by next 2–3 Months: MP Sribharat

Visakhapatnam, Apr 7 (TNT): Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat on Tuesday said the under-construction ESI Hospital at Sheelanagar in Gajuwaka constituency will be completed within the next two to three months.

He, along with local MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, reviewed the progress of the project and expressed satisfaction with the quality of construction.

The 400-bed hospital, comprising 350 general and 50 super-speciality beds, is nearing completion with around 90 per cent of the work already finished.

The facility is being built over an area of about 7 lakh square feet.

The infrastructure includes basement parking for 160 cars, additional parking for 30 vehicles, and integrated systems for water supply, air conditioning and elevators.

Sribharat directed officials to ensure timely completion of the remaining works with high quality standards and said services would commence after recruitment of staff.

He said the hospital would benefit thousands of ESI-eligible workers in industrial areas such as Gajuwaka, Auto Nagar and the Steel Plant region by improving access to healthcare.

The MP also emphasised the need for developing greenery around the premises and noted that construction of 128 staff quarters is underway.

He added that efforts are being made to establish an ESI Medical College in the future and expressed confidence that the hospital would cater to the healthcare needs of the entire North Andhra region.
