AP CM projects Centre–State cooperation on Vizag Steel Plant revival

New Delhi, Feb 10 (TNT):  In a move highlighting renewed Centre–State cooperation, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu , who met Union Steel Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy here on Tuesday,  thanked him for the special financial package extended to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.

The Chief Minister said the turnaround of the plant, operated by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, reflects effective coordination between the Centre and the state government.

He noted that the plant is now operating at full capacity and posting profits, countering earlier concerns over its future.

Projecting the revival as a political and economic win for Andhra Pradesh, the CM sought continued support from the Centre, stating that sustained cooperation would help safeguard jobs, strengthen the state’s industrial base, and reinforce public confidence in the Centre–State partnership.
