AP CM lays Foundation, Inaugurates development works at Agastya Academy in Kuppam

Kuppam, Jan 30 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday  said development is possible only when students cultivate innovative thinking, asserting that the State government is committed to supporting youth with creative and forward-looking ideas.

As part of his three-day tour of the Kuppam Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Teacher Training Centre at the Agastya Educational Academy campus in Gudipalli mandal.

The centre has been established to train about 5,000 teachers and school leaders every year.

He inspected the facilities and enquired about the training modules being offered.

The Chief Ministeralso laid the foundation stone for the Learners’ Accommodation Facility Centre at the academy.

In addition, he laid the foundation for the Oberoi Visitors’ Centre on the same campus.

Addressing the gathering after interacting with students at the academy and watching a video presentation on the institution’s programmes, particularly its initiatives in science and technology education, the CM said students must change their way of thinking, noting that the future belongs to them.

Referring to government initiatives, he said the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub was established to promote innovation and startups, and urged students to stay aware of how future India is shaping up.

He also highlighted development works in Kuppam, including the Handri–Neeva project, which has ensured water supply to the region.

Calling for innovative solutions in water management, the Chief Minister suggested that the Agastya Academy take up a pilot project on water conservation and efficient water use in Kuppam.
