AIMIM Former Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri Passes Away; CM, Leaders Condole

Hyderabad, Feb 3 (TNT): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) General Secretary and former four-time MLA from Charminar Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, popularly known as ‘Pasha’, passed away here on Tuesday due to prolonged illness.

He was 71.

Pasha Quadri was associated with AIMIM for several decades and represented the Charminar Assembly constituency after winning the election in 2004.

He went on to retain the seat for three consecutive terms until 2018, after which he was shifted to the Yakutpura constituency.

Owing to health issues, he did not contest the 2023 Assembly elections.

He had earlier served as a corporator in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Pasha Quadri and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said the former MLA made notable contributions towards the welfare of minorities and public service.

BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) also condoled the death, describing Pasha Quadri as a courteous leader with a warm smile.

He recalled working closely with him during his tenure as Municipal Minister, particularly on initiatives aimed at improving and preserving heritage projects in Hyderabad’s Old City.
