President Murmu congratulates Praveen Chithravel on Commonwealth Games Silver
New Delhi, Aug 2 (TNT) : President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday congratulated Indian athlete Praveen Chithravel on winning the silver medal in the men’s triple jump event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026.
In a post on social media platform X, the President said she was delighted that Indian athletes had achieved memorable success at the Games.
Congratulating Praveen Chithravel on his achievement, she said his perseverance, focus and outstanding performance had contributed to India’s historic double podium finish in the men’s triple jump event.
“I wish you continued success as you strive for even greater achievements,” the President said in her message.
