CM Invites Global Investors, Says Telangana Aims to Become $3 Trillion Economy by 2047

Hyderabad, July 31 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday invited global investors to set up industries in the state, asserting that Telangana offers a stable, investor-friendly ecosystem and is among the safest investment destinations in the country.

Addressing the third meeting of the CII Northern Regional Council 2026-27 here, the Chief Minister outlined the government’s “Telangana Rising – Vision 2047”, which aims to transform the state into a USD 1 trillion economy by 2037 and a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047.

Revanth Reddy said the government had created an enabling ecosystem where investors have direct access to the administration.

He announced that the Industries Minister would meet industry representatives once every two months, while he would personally review investment proposals and address industry concerns every three months.

The Chief Minister said the proposed Bharat Future City, to be developed over 30,000 acres, would be a landmark project and a major growth engine for the state.

He said a Singapore-based firm was preparing the master plan and described the project as significantly larger than Gujarat’s GIFT City.

“We are not competing with neighbouring states. We are competing with global cities such as Tokyo and New York. Think global and invest in Telangana,” he said.

Revanth Reddy said the government aims to attract 500 Fortune Global companies and increase Telangana’s contribution to the national economy from the present five per cent to 10 per cent by 2047.

Highlighting the state’s growth strategy, he said CURE, PURE and RARE would serve as the three pillars of Telangana’s development. While CURE would focus on the services sector, PURE would promote manufacturing between the Outer Ring Road and the proposed Regional Ring Road, and RARE would strengthen agriculture and allied sectors.

The Chief Minister said the government was developing a 360-km Regional Ring Road, radial roads and a 12-lane highway connecting Bharat Future City with Machilipatnam Port to strengthen logistics and industrial connectivity.

He said Telangana was well positioned to benefit from the global China Plus One strategy and assured investors that the government would provide policy stability, timely approvals and all necessary support.

Highlighting infrastructure and skill development initiatives, Revanth Reddy said new airports at Warangal and Adilabad were being developed and bullet train proposals linking Hyderabad with Chennai, Pune and Bengaluru had received approval.

He said the government was strengthening the talent ecosystem through the Young India Skills University, headed by industrialist Anand Mahindra, and transforming Industrial Training Institutes into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) to meet future industry requirements.

The Chief Minister also highlighted major investments in the state, including Amazon’s proposed Rs 1 lakh crore investment in data centres, the Adani Group’s Rs 35,000 crore data centre project, and increasing interest from more than 200 Global Capability Centres (GCCs).

Recalling the contribution of former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao to India’s economic reforms, Revanth Reddy said successive governments had played a role in developing Hyderabad into a major investment destination and his government was building on that foundation with progressive policies.

CII Northern Region Chairman Puneet Kaura said Telangana’s industrial policies, proactive governance and world-class infrastructure had made Hyderabad one of the country’s most preferred destinations for Global Capability Centres and industrial investments.

Chief Minister’s Advisor K. Ramakrishna Rao, Special Secretary (Industries) Krishna Aditya, CII Northern Region Vice-Chairperson Sharada Suri Marwah and senior industry representatives attended the meeting.
