Global Grace Cancer Run 2026 to Be Held in Hyderabad on October 11

Hyderabad, July 31 (TNT): The ninth edition of Quambiant’s Global Grace Cancer (GGC) Run 2026, powered by Evernorth Health Services, will be held at the Gachibowli Stadium here on October 11, with organisers aiming to raise awareness on cancer prevention and early detection.

The event was formally launched at a function here on Friday evening in the presence of filmmaker Anil Ravipudi and actress Nidhhi Agerwal, who unveiled the official event T-shirt and finisher’s medal.

The run will be conducted in both physical and virtual formats, with Hyderabad hosting the flagship on-ground event.

Speaking on the occasion, Nidhhi Agerwal said regular health check-ups were essential for early detection of diseases and urged people above the age of 40 to undergo periodic medical screening.

She described doctors as the “real heroes” and lauded the efforts of Grace Cancer Foundation in creating awareness about cancer.

Anil Ravipudi stressed the importance of listening to one’s body, reducing stress and maintaining a positive outlook in life.

He said good physical and mental health were closely linked and encouraged people to adopt healthy lifestyles.

Grace Cancer Foundation Founder and Senior Consultant Robotic Surgical Oncologist Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli said the Global Grace Cancer Run had evolved into a global movement promoting cancer awareness, prevention and early detection.

He announced that the Foundation would soon be listed on the Social Stock Exchange of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to enable greater transparency and wider public participation in supporting its initiatives.

Dr. Sunkavalli said funds raised through this year’s event would be utilised to screen one lakh economically weaker people for cancer and other non-communicable diseases through mobile screening units.

The initiative would also support HPV vaccination, awareness programmes and preventive healthcare in rural areas.

Yashoda Hospitals Director Dr. Pavan Gorukanti highlighted the importance of early diagnosis in improving cancer survival rates and urged people to adopt healthy lifestyles.

Quambiant Developers Founder Yogendranath, the Global Title Sponsor, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting cancer awareness and early detection initiatives.

Organisers said the Global Grace Cancer Run has, since its inception, reached nearly 1.4 crore people across more than 130 countries and has earned six Guinness World Records.

The theme of this year’s edition is “Run for Grace. Screen for Life.”

The Hyderabad event is expected to attract around 35,000 participants, while more than one lakh participants from over 130 countries are expected to take part globally. Registrations are open in the 2K, 5K and 10K categories.

More than 400 doctors, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders, cancer survivors, volunteers and supporters attended the launch ceremony.
