Annual Srivari Brahmotsavams in Tirumala from September 15 to 23
Tirumala, July 31 (TNT): The annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be celebrated at the Sri Venkateswara Temple here from September 15 to 23, while the Navarathri Brahmotsavams will be held from October 12 to 20, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) announced on Friday.
According to TTD, the nine-day annual Brahmotsavams will commence with Ankurarpanam on the evening of September 14.
During the festival, Vahana Sevas will be held daily from 8.00 am to 10.00 am and again from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, drawing thousands of devotees from across the country.
As per the schedule, Dwajarohanam will be performed on the evening of September 15, followed by Pedda Sesha Vahanam at 9.00 pm.
The subsequent Vahana Sevas include Chinna Sesha and Hamsa Vahanams on September 16, Simha and Mutyapu Pandiri Vahanams on September 17, Kalpavriksha and Sarva Bhoopala Vahanams on September 18, Mohini Avataram and the highly significant Garuda Vahanam on September 19.
On September 20, devotees can witness Hanumantha Vahanam in the morning, Swarna Ratham in the evening and Gaja Vahanam at night. Suryaprabha and Chandraprabha Vahanams are scheduled for September 21, while the Rathotsavam and Aswa Vahanam will take place on September 22.
The annual Brahmotsavams will conclude on September 23 with Chakrasnanam in the morning and Dwajavarohanam at night.
The temple authorities are expected to make elaborate arrangements to facilitate the smooth conduct of the festivities and ensure the convenience of the large number of devotees expected to participate.
