TTD Lodges Police Complaint Over Fake Darshan Ticket Website
Tirumala, July 29 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has lodged a police complaint against the operators of a fake website allegedly created to dupe devotees by offering bogus Srivari darshan and seva tickets.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, TTD said its Vigilance Department detected the fraudulent website, “ttddevasthanam.online”, which closely resembles the official TTD online portal with minor changes in the domain name.
The temple body said the website falsely claimed that darshan and seva tickets were available for August, September and October, with the alleged intention of collecting money from devotees and damaging TTD’s reputation.
TTD said it has requested the concerned domain service provider to take down the fake website and has registered a criminal case at the Tirumala Two Town Police Station against those responsible.
The temple administration warned that stringent legal action would be taken against persons involved in cheating devotees through such fraudulent websites.
TTD advised devotees to book darshan, accommodation and other services only through the official TTD website and authorised mobile application, and urged them not to rely on unofficial websites or links circulated on social media.
