Telangana Governor Calls for AI That Complements Human Creativity During Doordarshan Visit

Hyderabad, July 29 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday stressed that while Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of every sphere of life, it should be used in a manner that preserves and promotes human creativity.

The Governor made the remarks during his first visit to Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad, after assuming office.

He was received by N.V. Ramana, Deputy Director General (Engineering) and Head of Kendra, Dr. Rahul Gaulikar, Director, News Division, and other senior officials.

During the visit, Shukla toured the engineering facilities, television studios and other technical sections of the Kendra and watched a presentation on Doordarshan’s news bulletins, public service programmes and flagship broadcasts.

Interacting with officials, the Governor appreciated Doordarshan’s role in disseminating credible information and its contribution to nation-building.

He said technological advancements should be embraced while ensuring continued focus on producing quality and meaningful content.

Shukla also recorded a special interview for Doordarshan on the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ campaign, appealing to citizens to actively participate in the nationwide movement against substance abuse. The interview is scheduled to be telecast across the country.

The Governor was felicitated by Doordarshan officials during the visit.

As part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, he planted a sapling on the Kendra premises and urged people to contribute to environmental conservation through tree plantation.

Joint Secretary to the Governor K. Shashi Kiranachary accompanied the Governor during the visit.
