SBI Life Becomes Principal Partner of Indian Paralympic Contingent for 2026 Season
Mumbai, July 28 (TNT): SBI Life Insurance on Tuesday strengthened its association with the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) by becoming the Principal Partner of the Indian contingent for the 2026 para sports season.
Under the partnership, SBI Life will serve as the Official Life Insurance Partner of the Indian Paralympic contingent participating in the Commonwealth Para Games 2026 in Glasgow and the Asian Para Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
The partnership builds on SBI Life’s association with India’s para-athletes during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and aims to support and promote the achievements of Indian para-athletes as they prepare for major international competitions.
SBI Life said the collaboration reflects its commitment to encouraging confidence, preparation and resilience while recognising the dedication and achievements of India’s elite para-athletes.
SBI Life Chief of Brand, Corporate Communication and CSR Ravindra Sharma said the partnership aligns with the company’s brand philosophy of “Apne Liye, Apno Ke Liye” and reinforces its commitment to supporting athletes as they represent India on the global stage.
Paralympic Committee of India President Devendra Jhajharia welcomed the continued partnership, recalling SBI Life’s support during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where India recorded its best-ever performance with 29 medals.
He said corporate partnerships play a crucial role in enabling para-athletes to focus on sporting excellence and pursue greater success at international events.
The partnership comes as Indian para-athletes intensify preparations for the Commonwealth Para Games in Glasgow and the Asian Para Games in Aichi-Nagoya later this year.
