Special Festivals Scheduled in Tirumala During August
Tirumala, July 27 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Monday announced the schedule of special festivals and religious events to be observed at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara during the month of August.
According to TTD, Sri Venkateswara’s ceremonial procession to Purisaivari Thota will be held on August 14.
Naga Chaturthi and the Varsha Thirunakshatram of Sage Kashyapa Maharshi will be observed on August 16, followed by Garuda Panchami and Sri Garuda Vahana Seva on August 17.
The Vardhanthi of Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba will be observed on August 21, while Ankurarpanam for the annual Srivari Pavitrotsavams is scheduled for August 22.
The annual Srivari Pavitrotsavams will conclude on August 25.
On August 28, the temple will observe Sravana Pournami, Sri Garuda Vahana Seva, Sri Vikhanasa Mahamuni Jayanti, and Sri Hayagriva Jayanti.
The month-long religious calendar will conclude with Sri Venkateswara’s ceremonial procession to the shrine of Sri Vikhanasacharya on August 29, TTD added.
