Telangana: 437 Employees, Pensioners Avail Cashless Treatment under EHS in First Week
Hyderabad, July 26 (TNT): A total of 437 government employees and pensioners have availed cashless medical treatment worth over ₹1.14 crore under the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) during the first week of its launch, according to the Employees Health Care Trust.
The EHS was launched on July 17 and between July 18 and July 25, as many as 153 hospitals across 17 districts treated beneficiaries and processed claims under the scheme, the trust said in a release said here on Sunday.
During the period, 184 government employees received cashless treatment worth ₹40.43 lakh, while 253 pensioners underwent treatment valued at ₹73.70 lakh.
Together, 437 beneficiaries received treatment amounting to ₹1.14 crore.
Among the districts, Hyderabad has the highest number of empanelled hospitals under the scheme with 47, followed by Medchal (21), Rangareddy (14), Karimnagar (13) and Hanamkonda (12).
