ANKURARPANAM FOR SRI KAPILESWARA SWAMY PAVITROTSAVAMS ON JULY 25
Tirupati, July 24 (TNT): The annual Pavitrotsavams of Sri Kapileswara Swamy Temple, Tirupati, will be held from July 26 to 28, with Ankurarpanam scheduled on July 25 from 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
The three-day festival will feature Pavitra Pratishtha on July 26, Granthi Pavitra Samarpana on July 27 and Maha Poornahuti on July 28.
The rituals are performed every year as per Shaiva Agama traditions to preserve the sanctity of the temple and as atonement for any ritual lapses.
Devotees can participate by paying Rs.700 per couple.
Participants will receive one laddu, an upper cloth, blouse piece and Pavitra Malas on the concluding day.
