During the field visit, the Deputy Chief Minister held discussions with Singareni officials on the mine’s functioning and sought details about the Manuguru project, which commenced operations in 1976, including the quality of coal being extracted and the mine’s remaining operational life.

Bhatti personally entered the mine and examined the quality of coal during the inspection.

Emphasising the need to secure the long-term future of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), he directed officials to actively participate in upcoming coal block auctions and acquire new coal blocks to strengthen the company’s resource base.

Officials informed the Deputy Chief Minister that employees and workers had welcomed the allocation of the Tadicherla coal block to Singareni and expressed confidence that it would strengthen the company’s future operations.

The officials also requested the State Government to take up the issue of allotting the PK Open Cast (OC) Dip Side Block to Singareni to meet the company’s future production requirements.
