TTD staff return bag with 100 grams of gold to Hyderabad devotee
Tirumala, July 21 (TNT): The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) vigilance and security personnel on Monday returned a bag containing about 100 grams of gold ornaments to a devotee from Hyderabad who had accidentally left it behind at the Alipiri Security Checkpoint.
The unattended bag was noticed by vigilance personnel during routine security screening at around 11.35 a.m.
The staff immediately took it into safe custody and, after verifying the contents, examined CCTV footage to identify the owner.
The bag was traced to Mahesh of Hyderabad, who was contacted before he realised that he had misplaced it.
After verifying his identity, the TTD vigilance staff handed over the bag along with the gold ornaments.
The devotee expressed gratitude to the TTD management and appreciated the vigilance and security personnel for their honesty, alertness and prompt action in safely returning the valuables.
