Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati to observe Jyeshtabhishekam from July 24 to 26
Tirupati, July 21 (TNT): The annual Jyeshtabhishekam (Abhideyaka Abhishekam) of the processional deities of Sri Govindaraja Swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be observed at Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple, Tirupati, from July 24 to 26.
During the three-day festival, the golden armour (Swarna Kavacham) of the deities will be ceremonially removed, purified, and re-adorned as per Agama traditions.
The rituals include Kavachadhivasam (July 24), Kavacha Pratishtha (July 25), and Kavacha Samarpana (July 26). Every day, Mahashanti Homam, Punyahavachanam, Snapana Tirumanjanam, Satakalasa Snapanam, and Veedhi Utsavam will be conducted.
Jyeshtabhishekam is an annual festival observed during the Ashada month on Jyeshta Nakshatram.
